About Stuffing Recipe
Stuffing, also known as “dressing” in some regions, has deep cultural roots in holiday meals. Traditionally made with bread, herbs, and often meat-based broth, this dish has evolved over generations. Our vegetarian stuffing is packed with rich flavors like sautéed onions, celery, garlic, and a medley of fresh herbs. We use a vegetable broth to keep it moist and flavorful while still maintaining a hearty, satisfying texture. It’s a recipe that celebrates all the familiar, comforting flavors of the holidays without any animal products.

What Is In Our Stuffing Recipe
This delightful dish includes:
- Stale Bread Cubes: Use a crusty bread like sourdough or a rustic loaf for the best texture.
- Onions & Celery: The aromatic base that adds depth of flavor.
- Garlic: Adds a subtle, savory kick.
- Fresh Herbs: A blend of parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme gives the stuffing an earthy, holiday feel.
- Vegetable Broth: Keeps the stuffing moist and flavorful.
- Butter or Vegan Alternative: Adds richness and helps brown the top to perfection.
How To Make Stuffing Recipe?
- Cut the bread into cubes of your desired size, put them on a baking sheet, and dry them in the oven on “warm” or around 175 F. This could be done overnight, but generally takes 2-3 hours.
- Remove the bread from the oven, and transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Then add the Onion and Celery mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a pan over medium low heat, add butter and allow it to melt. Then add half of the chopped Sage and Thyme, and allow them to infuse the melted butter. Then add the chopped Onions and Celery, 1 tsp salt and black pepper, and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until the rawness is eliminated.
- Slowly pour 1 cup of Vegetable broth/stock to the mixing bowl, and mix until the liquid is absorbed. Then add the second cup of Vegetable broth/stock and mix until that is absorbed. Add salt and Black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish, and bake at 350 Degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy 🙂
Have It Your Way
- Make it Vegan: Use vegan butter and ensure your bread is egg-free and dairy-free.
- Add a Crunch: Toss in chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for texture.
- Gluten-Free Option: Swap regular bread for a gluten-free variety.
- Add Fruit: Diced apples or dried cranberries can bring a touch of sweetness to the savory mix.
